Packing boxes...

Welp, today I did NOT get to close on my house. We're shooting for Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Everyone please join me in crossing fingers, toes, eyes and whatever else has any cross-ability.

Thank you.

In other news, I met the sellers today! They are amazing. They had a packet of information (receipts from repairs, warranties on appliances, even PAINT COLORS!) ready to go for me, gave me a little tour of the "things you must know" around the house (like how to connect the water hose to the cool turny water hose thingy) and just in general were the best people I could've asked for as sellers. I may/may not have cried right before I left. I meant to just say "thank you for the nice tour and information!" but instead my eyes got all watery and my nose started to tingle and it came out more like:

"thank you so much for being such wonderful people and making my first home buying experience such a wonderful, organized, comfortable situation! you see, i'm sort of a military brat and for the last 10-or-so years of my life i've had more addresses than I can remember and I can't express to you how LONG and how HARD i have wished for the perfect little house to come along to be MINE. So that I could have a permanent address that is actually MINE, so that I could have friends visit on weekends and stay in a guest room instead of on a couch, so that I could sit in my own back yard and enjoy the weather, so that i can cook and do laundry in my own space, so that i can buy furniture i actually like and make myself a HOME, so that i can take bubble baths and paint the walls and decorate and hang a wreath that i made on the front door and and ANNNNNDDDDD....."

and finally someone shut me up. at least that's how i remember it, but it was probably much worse. oh the embarrassment of being a crier. i cry all the time! happy, sad, frustrated.... but today? today was a happy cry.

I can't wait to close.
And once I do, I promise to post fun tutorials and explanations of all the fun things I make, cook and do (i won't even get started on all the ideas and plans i have).

Catch you on the flipside, homies!
